In 1947, Don Basilio Markowicz arrived in Buenos Aires, driven by the desire to build a new life far from his native Ukraine. With a heart full of hope and the determination to take advantage of the opportunities offered by Argentina, Don Basilio found in Villa Domínico, Avellaneda district, a propitious place to forge his future. It was in this environment that his most ambitious dream was born: a metallurgical workshop that would eventually become the cornerstone of Calderas Argentinas Markowicz.
Initially, the workshop was dedicated to a variety of metallurgical work, but Don Basilio´s passion for boiler repair and construction soon led him to make a key decision: to specialize exclusively in this field. Thus, in the mid-sixties, he opened a manufacturing plant dedicated entirely to boiler production, marking a milestone in the company´s history.
Don Basilio´s vision and commitment were fundamental to the growth of Calderas Argentinas Markowicz. Ten years later, together with his son Eugenio, the company began to export its boilers to numerous countries on the continent, consolidating its reputation in the international market.
With determination and resilience, the company overcame the economic challenges that affected the region, firmly establishing itself as a benchmark in the industry. Today, Calderas Argentinas Markowicz remains a living testament to Don Basilio´s legacy, offering high-quality boilers and professional advice that reflects decades of experience and dedication.
Today, Roman, Don Basilio´s grandson, represents the third generation at the helm of the company. Under his leadership, the company has continued its expansion and modernization, incorporating new ideas and technologies into the manufacturing processes, but always keeping intact the values and roots that have characterized the company since its beginnings.
